Right click drag the mouse will rotate the camera. Mouse middle button and drag the mouse will drag the camera. **YOU WILL WANT TO GO INTO WINDOW/LIGHTING AND DISABLE THE AUTO BUILD BEFORE YOU SAVE IT! Well that is the basics for terrain editing, but here are some unity tips. Now when you mod is finsish and you have saved the selected scene objects, click save mod, then go into *C/Users/YourPCusername/Appdata/Jundroo/SimplePlanes/mods, and save the mod. There you can drag it somewhere to dock it and now you can edit the mod name, version number, give it a description, and go to the hiearchy click on you mapobject and then save selected scene objects. Go to the SimplePlanes button again and click mod builder window. For more info check out the modding wiki at. That will tell you about the water level, you might also want to go into project/create/material call it whatever you want drag it on your plane and and make it blue in the inspector. A SimplePlanes modding tutorial that covers the basics of creating a custom map. Now you might want to get a plane in the 3d objects and make sure the y is at Y = 0 and make the plane suuuuuper big. The grass button simply get your grass texture and use the brush and paint the ground with grass. note IT IS HIGHLY RECOMEDED THAT YOU IMPORT THE ENVIORMENT PACKAGE FOR TREES, THE SAME FOR GRASS TEXTURES. The tree brush is nice for placing trees. It will take longer the lower your terrain is. You can make the brush bigger by sliding the brushsize up. Now the paint hieght tool lets you paint to a specific hieght, YOU MIGHT WANT TO LOWER THE TERRAIN OR ELSE IT MIGHT LOOK WEIRD use the terrain hight tool and and add to the negetive Y value it would look somthing like this Y -200 then put the value next to the flatten button it would be somthing like this Y 201 then start painting the terrain. Also if you get a block create/3d object/cube you can push the squares also in the topleft corner of the screen and or click on the block and change the scale values, and the cube will get biggerbut if you drag the squares on the thing I told you about on the top left corner of the screen it will change size. Now at the top left corner of the screen click arrows and if you click the terrain you can move it. Now make the terrain a child of the mapobject by simply draging the terrain over the mapobject and dropping it. Now you need to go to the SimplePlanes icon at the top of the screen. And the gear you can change the terrain size. just click on raise height and the hieght will raise. You can add more textures and then paint the terrain by selecting a different texture from the box. So after you click add texture the whole terrain will be painted that texture. A basic plane should have wings, a fuselage, a cockpit, vertical stabilizers and horizontal stabilizers, power (prop. Or just use a painting program and draw a texture. Then select edit textures/ add texture you will problably want to draw some textures, or import the enviorment package, *Assets/importpackage/envirorment. The raise hight, first button, paint hight second button, paint tool third button, trees button fourth button and grass tool fith button. Then import the modtoolspackage, then in the Hiearchy click create/3dobject/terrain. Then after you download it open a new project. I'd really like to see a choice of keyboard/touchscreen controls for SP on this machine. I've got an iPad Pro, and Apple's Smart Keyboard. (please tag me If you can/have made any that can fit this railway):īrighton Standard Class 4 by G.W.R.You will need a copy Unit圓d you can get it for free. 17.8k jsaret 8.1 years ago Hello all, today I actually have something that I think is worth mentioning. When making engines and rolling stock, the wheels need to be like 's wheels but a bit thicker and wider to prevent jamming on points and because the tracks are literally wider and lower than they lookĬurrent available rolling stock and engines This is a railway map mod with functioning junctions/switches and a turntable with sheds! I was too lazy and scared to further optimize because it's so cluttered and im probably going to mess something upįor the junctions, you can click on the little poles near the junctions to toggle their direction.įor the turntable, you can click and hold on the little triangles pointing to the desired direction of rotation. (Title is a lie, this is a standalone map) (engines and rolling stock not included with the map) It's Finally Out! My first ever mod! Updated version: now fits 3m wide trains and you now spawn ON TOP of the rails instead of insideĭesigned with UK standard gauge (1.435m visible mesh) but with 1.535 colliders (true gauge).
